Dynamic Drummers

Service Description

The Dynamic Drummers section is a true crowd favorite and proudly serves as the heartbeat of PHC Majorettes & Drum Corps. As one of the most important sections of our group and a vital part of our continuing tradition, we welcome female and male drummers ages 8 and up to join this exciting and essential section. Members will be trained to play a drum of their choice and are encouraged to take advantage of the free Music Theory and Drum Lessons provided by PHCMDC every Thursday to strengthen their musicianship. This section gives members the opportunity to learn rhythmic beats, build stamina through consistent marching with the drum, and incorporate dance movements into the cadences they create. Drumsticks are required, and tricks are also included within the choreography to add energy and excitement to each performance. While drummers perform a military-style march, they also participate in formations, synchronized movement, and skill-building opportunities that allow members to learn cadences for different types of drums within the section. Dynamic Drummers is a powerful confidence builder and an essential part of the PHCMDC experience, providing the rhythm and movement that support every other section.
